well , I draw my character on a regular paper with black pen, then I scan it and upload it on my MAC and color it with Photoshop, I usually add some textures or brushes on the drawing.
... don't hesitate to contact (children-)book publishers (perhaps in Europe, ie. Switzerland, France, Germany), you're soooo talented, and your OC looks just awesome
